As our work in herbal medicine manufacturing expanded, understanding the market required travelling across different cities, districts, and states. The initial purpose was business — to understand people's needs, explore the healthcare market, and learn how quality products could reach those who needed them.

But those journeys taught us far more than the market. They gave us an opportunity to understand life itself.

The more we travelled and interacted with people from different backgrounds, the more we realised that the real world was far more complex than the one we had learned about at home and in school.

These experiences gave rise to a question:

“If our own lives are moving forward, shouldn't a part of our progress also be used to make life easier for those who need us?”

Perhaps the first idea of NIHWF was born there — long before the Foundation itself formally existed.

It Began with Two Children

The first attempt to turn this thought into action was made through education. There was no plan to establish a large school or institution. The beginning was simple: two children in need and two dedicated teachers for them.

But this small experiment revealed a much larger reality. Some children had been attending school for years yet struggled even to write their own names. Some could not properly identify the name of the school they attended. The problem was not necessarily a lack of intelligence or ability—they had simply not received the environment, individual attention, and opportunities they needed.

Gradually, what began with two children grew to nearly 125 students, requiring a team of teachers to support them. With the right guidance and learning environment, remarkable changes began to appear. Over time, some of these children went on to achieve academic scores as high as 97% and 98%. For us, these were not merely examination results; they were evidence that circumstances do not have to define the limits of a child's potential when the right opportunity is provided.

We Were Serving People — But We Had No Platform

Education was only the beginning. Gradually, other humanitarian efforts became part of the journey — providing food to families in need, supporting children's education, assisting economically vulnerable families with marriage-related needs, helping people access healthcare, and guiding families for whom even modest legal expenses could become a barrier to accessing justice.

The work continued, and people continued to join, but something important was missing:

In 2018, these social efforts were organised under North India Helpers Foundation. With time, the mission evolved with a broader humanitarian vision, structure, and scope into North India Human Welfare Foundation (NIHWF) Global.

We Learned That Poverty Is Not Only About Money

This journey taught us one of our most important lessons: Not every need is financial, and not every form of help requires money.

Someone may need medicine, education, accurate information, or legal guidance. A young person may need an opportunity, an elderly person may need support, and someone who has lost hope may simply need to know that they are not alone.

This is why the philosophy of NIHWF Global goes beyond charity, moving forward across four core stages:

There is no shortage of people in the world who want to help others; what is often missing is a trusted platform that connects them. On one side are people who need support, and on the other are doctors, teachers, advocates, entrepreneurs, technology professionals, social workers, young people, and responsible citizens who genuinely want to contribute.

We do not simply want to help people — we want to connect people who are willing to help.

Our Dream

We do not claim that we can solve every problem in the world. But we strongly believe that every person has the ability to reduce at least one problem in someone else's life. Wherever there is a human being, there is a responsibility to humanity.
